Permainan berisiko di luar ruangan merupakan aktivitas yang penting untuk mendukung perkembangan fisik, sosial, emosional, dan kemampuan pengambilan keputusan anak prasekolah. Namun, meningkatnya kekhawatiran orang tua terhadap keselamatan anak sering kali membatasi kesempatan anak untuk terlibat dalam aktivitas tersebut. Meskipun berbagai penelitian telah menyoroti manfaat permainan berisiko, kajian mengenai bagaimana orang tua memaknai keseimbangan antara risiko dan manfaat permainan berisiko pada anak prasekolah masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan menganalisis persepsi orang tua terhadap permainan berisiko di luar ruangan pada anak prasekolah serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi persepsi tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan melibatkan 57 orang tua anak prasekolah yang dipilih secara purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) sebagian besar orang tua mengakui manfaat permainan berisiko dalam mengembangkan kemandirian, keberanian, dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah anak; (2) kekhawatiran terhadap cedera fisik dan keamanan lingkungan menjadi faktor utama yang membatasi pemberian kesempatan bermain; (3) pengalaman pengasuhan, paparan informasi, dan kondisi lingkungan memengaruhi tingkat penerimaan orang tua terhadap permainan berisiko; serta (4) orang tua cenderung mendukung permainan berisiko apabila tersedia pengawasan dan lingkungan yang dianggap aman.
