Kualitas Taman Bermain dan Aspek Perkembangan Anak: Analisis Kualitatif dengan Dukungan Playground Exposure Index

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis bagaimana kualitas taman bermain berkontribusi terhadap empat dari enam aspek perkembangan anak usia dini melalui mekanisme eksplorasi dan mediasi sosial di lingkungan pendidikan di antara dua TK (Taman Kanak-Kanak). Penelitian menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif yang diperkuat dengan observasi sistematis terhdap ruang bermain, perilaku eksplorasi, serta praktik pendampingan guru yang didukung oleh Playground Exposure Index (PEI) untuk memetakan pola pemanfaatan lingkungan bermain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa affordances fisik tidak selalu berubah menjadi pegalaman belajar bermakna tanpa dukungan sosial-pedagogis yang relevan. Guru yang memberikan interaksi dialogis, fleksibilitas aturan, kesempatan memilih, serta penggunaan loose parts memungkinkan anak membangun pengalaman bermain yang lebih kaya. Sebaliknya, pembatasan ruang dan pengawasan yang kaku membatasi variasi eksplorasi san peluang perkembangan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa hubungan antara kualitas ruang bermain dan perkembangan anak bersifat tidak langsung dan dimediasi oleh interaksi sosial. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sekolah dan guru PAUD (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini) perlu merancang strategi pendampingan yang sejalan dengan desain ruang, sehingga fasilitas bermain benar-benar mendukung perkembangan sosial-emosional, kognitif, dan bahasa anak.
