Kemampuan literasi pada anak usia dini yang dikenal sebagai early literacy skills mencakup kesadaran fonologis, pemahaman naratif, penguasaan kosakata, dan interaksi dengan media cetak, sehingga pemahaman mengenai kemampuan tersebut dapat menjadi acuan bagi pengembangan sistem pendidikan dan stimulasi literasi anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran early literacy skills anak TK B di Kota Surakarta dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dan desain cross-sectional. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui teknik stratified proportional random sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 158 anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum anak TK B di Kota Surakarta memiliki kemampuan literasi awal yang tergolong baik, dengan capaian tinggi pada aspek penguasaan kosakata dan kesadaran fonologis, serta capaian yang memadai pada pemahaman naratif dan interaksi dengan media cetak. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa sebagian besar anak telah memiliki fondasi literasi awal yang cukup sebagai bekal memasuki pendidikan dasar. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan kebijakan literasi anak usia dini, perencanaan pembelajaran literasi di taman kanak-kanak, serta penyusunan instrumen asesmen literasi awal yang lebih kontekstual dan berbasis kebutuhan anak.
