Tinjauan literatur ini bertujuan untuk memahami dinamika komunikasi antara orang tua dan anak penyandang disabilitas melalui perspektif Co-Cultural Theory, yang digunakan sebagai kerangka untuk menganalisis strategi komunikasi orang tua yang berada dalam posisi minoritas di tengah masyarakat dominan. Studi ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, melalui penelusuran artikel di basis data Scopus menggunakan kata kunci “disability AND child AND parents AND communication”. Dari 2.792 dokumen yang ditemukan, 35 artikel diseleksi secara manual berdasarkan relevansi, fokus pada komunikasi keluarga dan serta penerapan Co-Cultural Theory. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi keluarga yang terbuka, suportif, dan positif berperan penting dalam mendukung perkembangan sosial, kognitif, dan emosional anak penyandang disabilitas. Strategi komunikasi dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal (emosi, ketahanan psikologis, pola asuh) dan eksternal (stigma sosial, minimnya dukungan formal). Studi ini menawarkan kontribusi teoretis dengan menerapkan Co-Cultural Theory dalam konteks komunikasi keluarga dengan anak disabilitas, suatu pendekatan yang masih jarang digunakan di literatur Indonesia. Penelitian lanjutan disarankan untuk mempertimbangkan keragaman latar belakang sosial, ekonomi, dan struktur keluarga untuk memperluas pemahaman tentang praktik komunikasi yang inklusif.
