Tantangan Integrasi Literasi Sains Visi II dan STEM dalam Pembelajaran Perubahan Iklim

Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi baru dengan mengkaji tantangan pedagogis dalam mengintegrasikan pendekatan STEM berbasis Visi II dalam konteks perubahan iklim, yang belum banyak dibahas dalam konteks sekolah dasar Indonesia. Penelitian dilakukan melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode triangulasi data (angket, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kendala yang dimiliki siswa adalah kesulitan memahami konsep-konsep kunci seperti efek rumah kaca, pemanasan global, dan gas rumah kaca, serta kurang terampil dalam melaksanakan eksperimen berbasis proyek. Sedangkan guru, kesulitan merancang proyek kontekstual yang sesuai dengan kompetensi siswa, kurangnya ketersediaan peralatan, dan keterbatasan media pembelajaran perubahan iklim yang kontennya dapat dimengerti siswa. Untuk mengatasinya, diperlukan pengembangan media pembelajaran, peningkatan kompetensi guru, dukungan kebijakan dan fasilitas sekolah yang memadai. Dengan mengatasi masalah-masalah tersebut maka, integrasi Visi II literasi sains dan pendekatan STEM dalam pembelajaran perubahan iklim di tingkat dasar dapat diaplikasikan dengan baik.
