Abstract


Pemberdayaan orang tua siswa menjadi hal yang esensial dalam keberhasilan pelaksanaan pendidikan usia dini, setidaknya orang tua mengambil empat peran penting dalam program pemberdayaan belajar yakni; peran finansial, sarana prasarana, sumber daya manusia, dan dukungan dalam penanaman karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi teknik pemberdayaan orang tua siswa dalam menjalin komunikasi dan kerjasama dengan guru yang dilakukan oleh pengelola PAUD, menganalisis kendala yang dihadapi dalam program pemberdayaan serta solusi mengatasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif naturalistik (n=9) meliputi enam orang tua siswa, dua orang guru, dan satu kepala sekolah. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pihak penyelenggara PAUD telah berupaya memaksilkan peran orang tua siswa, namun belum memperoleh hasil yang baik, diperlukan teknik yang tepat dan terencana sampai tumbuh kesadaran orang tua.  Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya mengelola pemberdayaan orang tua siswa sebagai bentuk partisipasi pendidikan yang memiliki pengaruh potensial dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi dalam menemukan desain yang tepat untuk pemberdayaan orang tua siswa pada PAUD.
