Abstract


Pendidikan seksual menjadi aspek penting yang perlu diajarkan kepada siswa sejak usia dini sebagai fondasi untuk menjaga diri dari berbagai jenis kekerasan seksual pada anak yang terjadi di Indonesia. Sebagai salah satu penyelenggara pendidikan anak untuk usia dini dalam bentuk formal, Islamic pre-school menjadi pilihan yang populer di kalangan orang tua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi sikap dan persepsi guru Islamic pre-school terhadap pendidikan anak usia dini di Makassar. Hasil penelitian ini menujukan bahwa pendidikan seksual di Islamic pre-school dilaksanakan dengan menyandingkan nilai-nilai ajaran agama Islam sehingga bentuk pengajaran semakin kompleks dan memberikan banyak manfaat. Pengetahuan guru dalam menerapkan tentang pendidikan seksual ini bersumber dari partisipasi mereka di masyarakat sehingga terdapat pemaknaan yang berbeda tentang pendidikan seksual dari setiap guru. Beberapa orang tua siswa juga masih menganggap tabu sehingga kurang mampu mengajarkan pendidikan seksual di rumah, padahal peran pendidikan seksual yang diajarkan oleh guru di Islamic pre-school harus juga diterapkan di lingkungan keluarga. Meski demikian, pendidikan seksual mendapatkan respon positif dari orang tua siswa.
