Abstract

Berbagai riset di 5 tahun terakhir banyak mengkaji tentang pengasuhan ayah (fathering) dan fatherless serta dampaknya pada aspek perkembangan dan perilaku anak. Penelitian dilakukan untuk menguji pengaruh pengasuhan ayah terhadap perilaku insecure anak. Pendekatan kuantitatif asosiatif digunakan dalam riset ini. Populasi riset ialah ayah yang berdomisili di Kota Depok, Jawa Barat dan memiliki anak berusia 5-6 tahun.  Teknik purposive sampling digunakan untuk pemilihan sampel dan terpilih 170 ayah. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuisioner yang disebar melalui link googleform. Hasil riset membuktikan terdapat pengaruh negatif variabel pengasuhan ayah dengan perilaku insecure anak, yang artinya ayah yang semakin tinggi terlibat pada pengasuhan anak maka semakin rendah pula perilaku insecure yang akan dimiliki oleh anak. Pengasuhan ayah berkontribusi signifikan dalam mempengaruhi perilaku insecure pada anak usia dini. Dengan adanya hasil riset ini ayah seharusnya semakin terlibat terhadap pengasuhan anak serta dapat lebih memaksimalkan waktu yang diberikan saat pengasuhan, sehingga perilaku insecure pada anak dapat dihindari.
