Abstract

Sampai saat ini Sistem Penjaminan Mutu Internal (SPMI) baru secara legal formal dilaksanakan di jenjang Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah serta Perguruan Tinggi. Adapun di dalam satuan PAUD belum ada legal formal yang menaungi tentang implementasi SPMI. Oleh karena itu Satuan PAUD di Indonesia perlu pula Sistem Penjaminan Mutu Internal Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (SPMI PAUD). Pengembangan SPMI PAUD ini begitu mendesak, sebab ke depan kompetisi Lembaga semakin ketat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sajauhmana tingkat kebutuhan SPMI PAUD ini, maka dilakukan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif kepada 60 TK yang ada di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Pemilihan lokasi ini berdasarkan data lebih dari 58% TK masih belum terakreditasi, hal ini dikarenakan faktor kepemimpinan dan kesiapan seluruh unsur di lembaga TK yang rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 98% lembaga TK menyebutkan perlu dikembangkan SPMI sekaligus responden menyebutkan perlu dikembangkan pula Instrumen SPMI PAUD yang dapat diimplementasikan di lapangan.
