Children’s Performance Sentence in Simple Construction Time

Abstract


This study aims to describe the types of sentences that children get during a simple construction period. A child's simple construction period takes place when a child is three to five years old. At this time the child has started the speech in the form of simple sentences. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The data is processed using the refer-see technique with the help of recording and recording tools. The object of research in this study was a four year old girl who used Bahasa in everyday conversation. The data in this study are all four year old children's speech collected at different times. Analyzing is done in several stages, namely, speech transcribed in written form, inventoried, identified, classified, and collected. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that the utterances of four year olds or children who were in the period of simple construction were able to produce speech in various sentence forms. The sentence is in the form of declarative, interrogative, and imperative sentences. The sentence that often appears is a declarative sentence, while the one that rarely appears is an imperative sentence.
